Will I need permits?

You will need a permit if there are major structural changes, such as additions or extensions of an electrical or plumbing variety. If your renovations are mostly decorative or aesthetic in nature or if they are adding or modifying internal functions, such as new cabinets or countertops, you will not require a permit.
